OUR VISION & PHILOSOPHY
ABOUT
Training the next generation of young leaders to tackle issues of sustainability is critical to achieving lasting change. Keru bridges social impact education and practice through innovative consulting programs that bring together students and professionals from various industries. We partner with local mission-driven organizations to assist them with initiatives that drive social impact and promote sustainable development.  Our programs focus on community development through sustainable wealth creation, provision of high quality social services, raising awareness, and developing actionable insights. 

By working directly with these local partners, we provide high school students an opportunity to learn, see and explore issues of sustainability.  In addition to directly benefiting communities, we build the capacity of our local partner organizations and support them to achieve long-term goals.  We believe this model of civic partnership provides a promising pathway for addressing critical issues of global sustainability.
OUR VISION
Keru aims to become a platform for talent from high schools, universities, and corporations to engage in meaningful social impact projects. We want to be a leader in meaningful social impact project planning and execution. Through our work, we want to equip our local partners with the resources and solutions to achieve their visions and develop knowledge and insights on addressing complex social issues.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
As part of Keru’s Theory of Change, we bring education, knowledge, and resources together to equip the next generation of passionate and service-oriented youth with skills and experience to become partners in achieving global sustainability. We offer the unique opportunity for ambitious individuals at the high school level to participate in our field-based consulting projects where they can gain problem-solving skills and apply critical thinking at a grassroots level, making a real impact and developing unique insights on pressing global issues. Through our programs and globally-focused approach, we hope to create a community of international citizens passionate about creating real change and lasting solutions.

COMMITTED TO UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
We are dedicated doing our part in driving social change and as such, our projects are aligned with the United Nations sustainable development goals. In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly outlined 17 sustainable development goals to achieve by 2030. These goals are meant to create clear and achievable targets for the global community to live in a better world. Each goal targets a global challenge, including poverty, hunger, public health, and education. While international institutions are an important factor in achieving these goals, cooperation among both large and small actors are required to create lasting change.
