LEAD A PROGRAM

LEAD A PROGRAM

Become a Program Leader

Keru relies on individuals who utilize team management and expertise to lead our group members on short-term service programs. Program leaders manage pre-program development and in-program operations, leading a group of 10-15 students and professionals on a short-term service program to a developing region of Southeast Asia or China. This role is responsible for communication with our local partner, and for ensuring the excellent delivery of the program for students and professional mentors joining the program.

Key responsibilities include working with the Keru program manager to confirm the program schedule, content, and dates; liaising with program mentors, operations staff and the local partner to review expectations; and leading the team through the program schedule to complete the project deliverable.

Become a Content Expert

Keru's content experts are knowledgeable about their field and eager to educate youth in their field of expertise. Content experts play a key role in project development and execution, interacting with youth pre-program and in-program by sharing information as it arises through real-life examples. Their knowledge and expertise is the backbone of Keru's programs and employ our students with the necessary tools to propose an effective solution to a local partner.

Content experts develop session plans in a specific area of impact depending on their area of expertise. Key responsibilities include working with the project leader to develop the overall strategic approach for a Keru engagement, developing content sessions for the program, traveling with the Keru team, managing the completion of the project, and teaching relevant content sessions.
