STEAM EDUCATION | SOCIOLOGY
Kone Kmeng runs social projects in rural Cambodia and has already provided 107 supplemental educational support classes for more than 2,000 children in 79 villages of the three provinces in Cambodia. The classes run 3 hours a day for 5 days a week, and are in addition to the classes that children already attend at their primary schools.

One of the key challenges in scaling the program is the limited resources for teaching and training. Learning to work within limitations while still providing maximum and quality assistance is the most pressing challenge facing Kong Kmeng. The organization would like to engage a Keru team to help develop a long-term strategic plan for their education program. This plan would outline specific action steps for implementing rural reading and literacy programs. Keru’s work will provide an effective solution that can be implemented throughout the year, taught to teachers, easily-tested for effectiveness, and initiated by the students.
